I conduct hands on Native American Style Flute making workshops a few times a year, where you can learn the art of flute making and create your own flute.
I would like to see this instrument become more recognised and for people to receive its gifts, healing and abundance. Part of my work is sharing what I have learnt, so I offer to teach you this craft. It is important that you have an interest in woodwork and craftwork, but only basic experience is necessary, so all are welcome. Basic workshop

This is a 1 day workshop on a bush property in the lovely Blackhorse Valley west of Kyogle NSW. You will learn how the NAF is made and create your own style flute in a key of your choice, learn safety in the workshop and have a flute circle. Camping overnight is welcome, or we can refer you to local accommodation. $350 per person.

Advanced workshop

In this 2 day workshop you will do all of the above as well as start a flute totally from scratch, learn important skills to help you tune voice and craft flutes confidently by yourself. You may finish 2 flutes depending on your level of skill and pace.

This workshop is for those who want to go deeper in the art of flute making; you will learn the finer intricacies such as bore ratios, tuning, wood burning and inlays, bore routing, wood selection and preparing the two halves.
$500 per person. This workshop will only run by request.

Registration

The minimum number for a workshop to run is three people and five is the maximum. A 30% deposit is necessary upon registration.
